"Creativity is stronger than war"
My family and I were able to get out of the city of Bucha. Our history is not simple; there are many losses, tears, death, and fear in it. But it also has a place for love, help, care, and creativity. And if God decided to save my life, then the world needs it.
Just recently I felt the strength and courage to tell my story, but I want to do it in a language that everyone can understand: through art. This is how the idea of my project "Touch" was born. I want to present 7 paintings that will tell 7 stories, 7 touches that changed my life and the lives of people who helped me and taught me. The story of the war in my life is not about the money I lost, it is not about the houses and the life we had before the war, it is not about our successes and what we were before, it is about the human touch. It is in such difficult moments that you begin to see the essence of people and what their touch brings. Whether it is care, support, help, sincerity or fear, resentment, anger is up to us. God has no other hands but ours. Every human contact is a miracle.

One Painting, Two Titles
Each painting in this series embodies two sides of an experience. Through these works, we explore two contrasting emotions related to touch. When purchasing, you can choose either the light or dark side of the piece. Our lives are a blend of all feelings—love, fear, loyalty, disappointment. Everything is interconnected. Only by embracing every facet of ourselves and our relationships can we achieve wholeness.

What is an immersive art exhibition?
The immersive format means that everyone who becomes part of the exhibition, engaged in its story. My goal is to create a space where you can not only see my work and experience stories of connection with different people, but also share your own stories, make connections, and experience the journeys of others on this new land—America.
| Welcome, I'm Anastasiia Aura I am an artist from Ukraine, art therapist, and a person who loves aesthetics. My journey as an artist began at an early age. My mother is an artist and taught me all things colors, beauty, and self-expression. I spent my early years attending an art school in my native Crimea and later, an art college. I cannot imagine my life without art. I paint frescoes on walls and canvases. I paint with acrylics and watercolors, and sometimes, it seems to me that God himself speaks to me through art. |
